Clinical Psychologist
From an early age, I have enjoyed looking beyond boundaries. This curiosity not only gave me a passion for travel, but also prompted me to delve into both psychology and philosophy. This combination still forms the core of my work as a clinical psychologist: I like to take a broad view of what motivates people; their thoughts, feelings, and the underlying questions about life.
My experience lies mainly in outpatient psychiatry, where I have encountered many different people and problems. I have learned that genuine contact is the foundation of any treatment; it is essential for creating space for change. I like to work in an experiential way. To break through deep-rooted patterns, I prefer to work with schema therapy, in which we create space for insight and growth together.
I am now 37 years old and live with my family in Groningen. In my spare time, I seek the tranquility of nature, engage in music, or make plans for my next trip. I am curious about your story and would like to work with you to see how we can bring movement back into your emotional world.
