In individual therapy you work on your problems together with your therapist in one-to-one sessions. The therapist gives you insight into what exactly is going on with you and what you yourself can do about it.
You are not on your own, of course. Together with the therapist, you will look for a method that best suits you and that allows you to deal with your problem. For example, you will learn to better deal with your symptoms and will receive assignments that you can apply to day-to-day life at home.
